Is Acrylic Fabric Better Or Pure Cotton Fabric Better?

Acrylic fabric and pure cotton fabric each have their own advantages and are suitable for different occasions and personal preferences. The following are the main differences between the two:

Acrylic fabric: commonly known as artificial wool, it has a soft and fluffy feel similar to wool and bright colors. Its elasticity and fluffiness are similar to natural wool, and its warmth retention is not inferior to wool fabrics, and is even about 15% higher than similar wool fabrics. In addition, the heat resistance of acrylic fabric ranks second to synthetic fibers, and it is resistant to acids, oxidants and organic solvents, and is relatively sensitive to the effects of alkali.

Pure cotton fabric: Cotton fiber has good hygroscopicity, with a moisture content of 8-10%. When it comes into contact with the skin, it makes people feel soft and not stiff, has good thermal insulation, and good heat resistance. The hygroscopicity, light resistance, and heat resistance of pure cotton fabrics are not as good as acrylic fabrics. Generally, acrylic fabrics are suitable for summer shirts, T-shirts and other clothes.

In summary, if you value the warmth and fluffy appearance of clothing more, acrylic fabrics may be a better choice. If you are more concerned about moisture absorption and comfort, especially when worn next to the skin, cotton may be a better choice for you. The final choice should be based on your personal needs and preferences.
